We're looking for a courteous, detail-oriented maintenance engineer to provide our guests with a five-star experience. You'll be in charge of overseeing the property’s overall upkeep and carrying out routine processes to make it fully functioning, pleasurable, and safe. Responsibilities: • Observe all engineering safety rules and criteria • Operate various tools like wrenches, hammers, screwdrivers, drills, and other maintenance equipment • Remain on-call in case of emergencies by keeping a phone on hand • Tend to all of the hotel's equipment and conduct preventive maintenance routines • Take care of guest complaints regarding building maintenance and troubleshoot issues • Maintain all hotel equipment, maintenance plans, and safety policies according to company and brand standards • Complete daily logs of operations, report maintenance problems, safety hazards, and accidents • Understand a variety of repairs and maintenance systems (HVAC, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, refrigeration, fire code, pool, etc.) and continue to learn daily, as well as be willing to receive all appropriate certifications and trainings as requested • Work diligently on assigned tasks and take initiative to solve problems and create more efficient processes • Direct, supervise, and support the maintenance team • Create a welcoming environment for guests and solve guest concerns promptly • Be prepared to support the property after hours in the event of an emergency or temporary staff shortage • Work with a variety of tools, hammers and screwdrivers, indicators and edge finders, drills, wrenches, and other maintenance tools of the trade • Perform other duties as requested by the General Manager Qualifications: • Ability to use web-based software, including facilities maintenance software preferred • Applicants must have 2-4 years of experience in maintenance • This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent GED • Driver’s license and clean driving record is mandatory • You should have the ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. • Must have 5 years experience in maintenance • Previous Hotel experience preferred Compensation: $22 - $28 hourly
