Baymont by Wyndham Ocala Suites is seeking a dependable, self-motivated Part-Time Maintenance Technician to assist with routine hotel maintenance every Tuesday. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys handyman work, can work independently, and takes pride in keeping a property safe, functional, and looking its best. Hotel maintenance experience is preferred but not required. We are willing to consider candidates with general handyman, apartment maintenance, residential maintenance, or construction experience. Schedule: • Every Tuesday (Tuesdays only) • Approximately 8 hours per week • Hourly pay (based on experience) If you're a dependable handyman who enjoys fixing things and takes pride in quality work, we'd love to hear from you! Responsibilities: Duties may include, but are not limited to: • Perform minor repairs throughout the hotel • Replace interior and exterior light bulbs • Repair or tighten wobbly furniture • Replace or assemble bed frames • Clean and maintain PTAC (guest room A/C) units • Recaulk showers, bathtubs, sinks, and other fixtures • Repair and troubleshoot toilets and plumbing issues • Perform paint touch-ups as needed • Install, adjust, or repair closet doors • Replace shampoo and soap dispensers • Install or replace toilet paper holders, paper towel holders, towel bars, and other bathroom fixtures • Install or replace drapes and blinds • Troubleshoot and complete general maintenance requests • Identify maintenance concerns and report items requiring additional repairs • Maintain a clean and organized work area • Complete other general handyman duties as assigned Qualifications: • Experience with general maintenance, handyman work, apartment maintenance, hotel maintenance, or a related field preferred • Basic knowledge of plumbing, carpentry, drywall, painting, and minor electrical repairs • Ability to troubleshoot and solve maintenance issues independently • Reliable transportation and dependable attendance • Strong attention to detail and ability to work with minimal supervision • Positive attitude and professional demeanor This position requires the ability to: • Frequently lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds • Bend, stoop, kneel, squat, climb ladders, and reach overhead • Stand and walk for extended periods • Use hand and power tools safely • Work indoors and outdoors in varying temperatures and weather conditions • Perform repetitive physical tasks throughout the workday Compensation: $20 hourly
