We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Hotel Maintenance Technician to join our dedicated maintenance team.
Job Summary:
The Hotel Maintenance Technician will be responsible for general maintenance and repair work throughout the hotel to ensure a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for our guests and staff. This role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to troubleshoot a variety of issues efficiently. The ideal candidate will possess a proactive approach to preventative maintenance while demonstrating a commitment to top-notch customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including but not limited to plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry work.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from guests and staff, ensuring timely resolutions to issues.
- Conduct regular inspections of the hotel's facilities and equipment to identify maintenance needs and ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Execute preventative maintenance programs to minimize downtime and maintain operational efficiency.
- Assist with room renovations, upgrades, and installations as needed.
- Maintain inventory of tools, supplies, and equipment to ensure that all maintenance tasks can be completed efficiently.
- Collaborate with other hotel departments to coordinate maintenance schedules and minimize disruptions to guests.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance tasks performed, and time spent on each task.
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work area.
- Participate in on-call rotation for emergency maintenance requests after hours, as required.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or degree in a related field is preferred.
- Previous experience in hotel maintenance, property management, or a similar environment is beneficial.
- Strong knowledge of general maintenance, electrical systems, plumbing, HVAC systems, and carpentry.
- Ability to read blueprints and technical manuals.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on customer service.
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
