Responsibilities: • As a Hotel Maintenance Technician in Tifton, GA, US, your responsibilities will include managing the day-to-day maintenance tasks of the property efficiently. • You will be in charge of completing all work orders and service requests accurately and in a timely manner. • Following up with department heads on the progress of work orders will be part of your duties. • Maintaining records for the property's Preventative Maintenance Program is essential. • You will need to assist in overseeing all work done by external contractors and perform grounds work as directed by the Chief Engineer and/or General Manager. • Repairing or replacing property brick, stone, and concrete will fall under your responsibilities. • Maintenance and repair of wooden parts of the property will be required. • Replacing worn or damaged parts like casings, handles, knobs, latches, hoses, wiring, belts, etc., will be part of your tasks. • Painting interior and exterior walls and trim will be necessary. • Cleaning and repairing air conditioning systems will be one of your duties. • Shampooing carpets and upholstery as directed is part of the job description. • Using a steamer to clean all tile and hard surfaces will be required. • Moving and arranging furniture will be part of your responsibilities. • Ensuring safety standards are met in compliance with all company, local, City, State, and Federal Guidelines is crucial. • You may be assigned special projects by the Chief Engineer and/or General Manager. • Performing routine maintenance on equipment and systems such as plumbing fixtures, HVAC units, and electrical wiring to ensure optimal performance and make necessary repairs. • Keeping records of when the equipment was serviced and repairs were completed. • Taking on additional maintenance requests as assigned. • Developing and implementing preventative maintenance measures to ensure efficient equipment operation and minimize safety risks. • Checking the building for any damage to doors, windows, or walls and making necessary repairs. Qualifications: • Proficient in maintenance equipment, procedures, and techniques with advanced understanding. • Ideally, possess a minimum of 2 years of maintenance experience. • Strong work ethic, effective communication skills, excellent time management skills, and keen attention to detail are required. • High school graduate, GED recipient, or equivalent qualification. • Willingness to be on call and available to respond to maintenance requests during nights, weekends, and holidays. Compensation: $13 hourly
