We are seeking an experienced Chief Engineer to lead our facility maintenance operations. This hands-on leadership role is responsible for the overall maintenance, repair, and functionality of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and more. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, excellent problem-solving skills, and proven experience managing maintenance teams in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. As a key member of our operations team, the Chief Engineer ensures all building systems operate efficiently, comply with safety standards, and meet brand expectations. • Report maintenance, safety, or security concerns immediately to management. • Support preventative maintenance and deep-cleaning projects during slower periods • Assist with room inspections to ensure readiness and that rooms are back in service. • Help strip rooms during high departures, and assist with deep cleaning projects Responsibilities: • Coordinate and supervise maintenance projects, ensuring timely and accurate completion. • Inspect and evaluate building systems to identify required maintenance, repairs, or system upgrades. • Serve as the primary liaison with brand partners to ensure compliance with evolving brand standards. • Recruit, train, schedule, and supervise maintenance staff, fostering a culture of accountability and growth. • Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules and procedures. Qualifications: • In-depth knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and general repairs. • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities, with a customer-focused approach. • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities. • Strong leadership skills with experience in staff development, evaluations, and scheduling. • At least 5 years of progressive experience in facilities maintenance, including team leadership. Compensation: $16 - $20 hourly
