  • Responsibilities

    The Hotel Night Manager serves as the primary Manager on Duty (MOD) during overnight hours. They are responsible for overseeing front desk operations, directing the night audit process, ensuring property safety and security, and resolving guest issues. They bridge the gap between evening and morning operations. Responsibilities: • Manager on Duty: Represent property leadership, handling escalated guest complaints, late-night requests, and VIP arrivals. • Team Supervision: Manage and support the overnight front desk, night porters, security, and any in-house housekeeping or maintenance staff. • Check-ins/Check-outs: Facilitate smooth and accurate overnight registration and departure procedures. Night Audit & FinanceAccount Reconciliation: Oversee or perform the night audit, which involves balancing financial transactions, auditing daily registers, and posting charges. • Reporting: Generate and distribute daily occupancy reports, financial summaries, and operational logs. Safety & SecurityProperty Patrols: Conduct regular walkthroughs of the hotel, ensuring public areas are secure and well-maintained. • Emergency Response: Act as the primary point of contact for medical, fire, or severe weather emergencies and coordinate with local emergency services if necessary. Operations & HandoverCross-Department Coordination: Liaise with the Kitchen, Housekeeping, and Food & Beverage teams to address any immediate facility or guest needs. • Shift Handover: Prepare detailed shift notes and handovers for the incoming morning management team. Qualifications: • Experience: Previous experience as a Night Auditor, Front Desk Agent, or Shift Supervisor in a hospitality environment. • Tech Proficiency: High familiarity with Property Management Systems (PMS) like Opera, OnQ, or ChoiceAdvantage, and intermediate to advanced math skills. • Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving capabilities, the ability to work independently without direct supervision, and excellent de-escalation/customer service skills. • Certifications: CPR and First Aid certifications are highly preferred.
