    Do you enjoy meeting new people, driving sales, and witnessing the fruits of your labor? We're looking for a dedicated director of sales to assist the hotel in reaching its sales targets. You'll be in charge of developing our sales strategy and goals, training and assessing our sales force, collaborating with sales managers, and ensuring that we create new and recurring business from various hotel sectors. Responsibilities: • Implement a strategic plan that aligns with revenue management and hotel objectives to assist the sales staff in meeting and exceeding room booking goals • Formulate sales strategies that sustain high levels of occupancy and profitability in collaboration with department managers and their goals • Evaluate information gathered from market data and create a plan to meet design marketing deliverables, hotel financial goals, and create an annual sales forecast • Organize meetings with department heads, report on sales activity for the previous and upcoming weeks, and produce a monthly expense report for all hotel sales-related expenses • Generate new revenue by using a targeted outbound sales strategy that includes personal calls in your network, phone solicitation to local professionals, travel agencies, and other groups or corporations Qualifications: • Displays a proven track record of sales success by lead-generation and closing • High school diploma or equivalent (GED) and a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field required • Strong analytical skills, communication skills, and leadership skills • We prefer someone with prior hospitality experience but is not required • 5+ years of experience in sales, preferably in the hospitality field, is required • Marriott experience preferred
