We're searching for a director of sales who is motivated to help our busy hotel meet its sales targets. You will be in charge of developing our sales strategy and revenue objectives, training and assessing our sales employees, and ensuring that we create new and recurring business across various hotel sectors. Responsibilities: • Coordination with the management team and department heads in designing and implementing sales strategies to achieve high occupancy and profitability • Generate new revenue by using a targeted outbound sales strategy that includes personal calls in your network, phone solicitation to local professionals, travel agencies, and other groups or corporations • Evaluate information gathered from market data and create a plan to meet design marketing deliverables, hotel financial goals, and create an annual sales forecast • Deliver previous and upcoming week's sales activity reports, as well as monthly sales expense reports, and meet with department managers to keep them up to date on all hotel sales-related expenses • Create methods to help the sales team reach and surpass monthly room booking targets that are in line with the hotel's overall revenue management goals Qualifications: • Previous hospitality industry experience preferred but not required • Displays a proven track record of sales success by lead-generation and closing • Must have a high school diploma or GED and a bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field • Must be able to use basic computer software including Microsoft Office • Must have relevant experience of 5+ years as a sales professional, preferably in the hospitality field • Previous hotel sales experience required
