We're searching for a director of sales who is motivated to help our busy hotel meet its sales targets. You will be in charge of developing our sales strategy and revenue objectives, training and assessing our sales employees, and ensuring that we create new and recurring business across various hotel sectors. Responsibilities: • Evaluate information gathered from market data and create a plan to meet design marketing deliverables, hotel financial goals, and create an annual sales forecast • Create methods to help the sales team reach and surpass monthly room booking targets that are in line with the hotel's overall revenue management goals • Generate new revenue by using a targeted outbound sales strategy that includes personal calls in your network, phone solicitation to local professionals, travel agencies, and other groups or corporations • Develop and implement sales strategies that maintain high levels of occupancy and profitability through coordination with department managers • Deliver previous and upcoming week's sales activity reports, as well as monthly sales expense reports, and meet with department managers to keep them up to date on all hotel sales-related expenses Qualifications: • Excellent leadership skills, analytical skills, and communication skills • We prefer someone with prior hospitality experience but is not required • 5+ years of experience in sales, preferably in the hospitality field, is required • Displays a proven track record of sales success by lead-generation and closing • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office Compensation: $75,000 - $80,000 yearly
