You'll be in charge of creating a sales strategy that includes soliciting new and existing accounts in order to reach and exceed revenue targets through outside sales calls, on-site visits, sales tours, and community networking. Responsibilities: • Develop and maintain connections with important group and catering accounts in order to maintain and expand our market share • Generate new business, close deals, and increase revenue by cold calling, on-site visits and sales tours, and community networking • Represent property at appropriate travel industry trade shows and conferences while adhering to the guidelines of the marketing plan and budget • Study and research local market trends and competitor activity to discover potential leads • Collaborate on creating and planning the department budget with the director of sales and marketing to align overall sales objectives and strategies for the hotel Qualifications: • High school diploma or GED, and bachelor’s degree in business or related field preferred • Must have previous sales experience working in the hospitality industry • Understands how to communicate, negotiate, and network effectively • 3+ years of experience in sales management or in a leadership role in the sales department, preferably in hospitality • Outstanding organizational skills and time management • Hotel sales experience • Association-Pharmaceutical-Corporate Market experience Compensation: $65,000 - $80,000 yearly
