Our busy hotel is looking for an enthusiastic salesperson with great selling skills and a customer-focused approach to be our next sales manager. You will add passion and creativity to our sales team, as well as build a strategy to reach and exceed revenue targets through outside sales calls, on-site visits, sales tours, and community networking. You will also be able to increase sales by monitoring local market trends and competitor activity in order to find and close business leads. We are searching for someone with at least 2 years of hotel sales expertise, as well as a love for meeting new people and providing exceptional customer service. Responsibilities: • Conduct yourself as a professional representative of the hotel at various industry tradeshows, conferences, and adhere to the guidelines of the budget and marketing plan • Create and maintain connections with key group and catering accounts in order to keep and expand our market share • Identify new business leads by examining local market trends and competition activities • Solicit new and existing accounts to meet and exceed revenue targets through outside sales calls, on-site visits and sales tours, and networking in the local community • Plan and compile the department budget in accordance with the hotel's overall sales objectives and strategy, with the assistance of the director of sales and marketing Qualifications: • High school diploma or GED, and bachelor’s degree in business or related field preferred • This position requires previous work experience in a hospitality role • Stays organized and manage time well • At least 3 years of experience in sales management or in a leadership role in the sales department, preferably in the hospitality industry • Understands how to communicate, negotiate, and network effectively Compensation: $65,000 - $70,000 yearly
