You'll be in charge of creating a sales and marketing strategy that includes soliciting new and existing accounts in order to reach and exceed revenue targets through outside sales calls, on-site visits, sales tours, and community networking. Responsibilities: • Attend various industry tradeshows and conferences as a professional representative of the hotel, while adhering to the budget and marketing plan requirements • Increase new business and accelerate revenue generation by cold calling, on-site visits, and sales tours, as well as engaging your local community network • Analyze local market trends and competitor activity to identify business leads • Plan and compile the department budget in accordance with the hotel's overall sales objectives and strategy, with the assistance of the director of sales and marketing • Create and maintain connections with key group and catering accounts in order to keep and expand our market share Qualifications: • High school diploma or GED, and bachelor’s degree in business or related field preferred • This position requires previous work experience in a hospitality role • Stays organized and manage time well • Exhibits superior communication, negotiation, and interpersonal abilities • 1 plus year of hotel sales experience Compensation: $65,000 - $72,000 yearly
