The Hotel Staff Accountant manages daily financial operations, including accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliations, and payroll processing, to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with industry standards (USALI). They support month-end closings, financial analysis, and budgeting. Strong Excel skills and knowledge of hotel PMS systems are essential. Responsibilities: • Financial Reporting: Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly financial reports, including profit and loss statements and balance sheets. • Accounts Payable/Receivable: Manage vendor payments, process invoices, and reconcile city ledger/group billings. • Daily Reconciliation: Reconcile daily hotel revenue from front office, food & beverage, and other departments. • Month-End Closing: Assist in closing books, preparing journal entries, and reconciling bank accounts. • Budgeting & Forecasting: Support management with data for budgeting, forecasting, and expense tracking. • Compliance: Maintain internal controls and ensure compliance with VAT/tax regulations. Qualifications: • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. • Experience: Previous experience in hotel accounting or hospitality industry strongly preferred. • Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., M3, Oracle, Sage) and MS Excel. • Knowledge: Understanding of USALI (Uniform System of Accounts for the Lodging Industry). • Skills: Strong attention to detail, organization, and communication skills. Compensation: $20 - $23 hourly
