The Hotels Unlimited Marketing Department is seeking a bright, passionate Summer Intern. Work directly with departmental leadership and get tons of experience. The role can be geared towards your interests and abilities, so the possibilities are endless! Ideal opportunity for college students. This paid internship will focus on promoting our busy Weddings and Banquets business, so interest in event planning is a plus. The position is based in our corporate offices in East Windsor, NJ, but the ideal candidate will be able to travel on regular evenings and weekends to document live weddings and special events for social media and more at our NJ locations in East Windsor, Freehold, Toms River, and Eatontown. INTERN RESPONSIBILITIES The intern will work on the following tasks and more, tailored to their talents and interests: Attending weddings & events to capture behind-the-scenes footage Social media & online reputation management Competitor research Data organization Contacting local vendors Blogging Working directly with marketing department CANDIDATE TRAITS Candidates with the following attributes are preferred for this internship. Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite programs a plus, but not required. Creativity Problem solving skills Detail-oriented Ability to multi-task and manage deadlines Receives direction and constructive criticism well Works well independently & with small groups Interest in marketing Social media acumen Writing proficiency and copy editing skills ABOUT US Hotels Unlimited is a hospitality management company that owns and operates 11 hotels including 6 ballrooms for catered events, and a conference center. The Marketing Department is responsible for managing online reputation and social media campaigns, design of magazine ads and printed materials, promotion of special offers, and analyzing the effectiveness of marketing strategies. The Hotels Unlimited corporate offices are located inside Holiday Inn of East Windsor, NJ, right off Exit 8 on the New Jersey Turnpike.
