    Location: Manhattan, NY Employment Type: Full-Time, 40 Hours/Week Compensation: Competitive / Negotiable Requirements: Background check required

    Overview

    We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented House Manager to oversee the daily operations of a private Manhattan residence. The ideal candidate will ensure the smooth running of the household, manage staff, coordinate schedules, and provide support to the family with professionalism, discretion, and efficiency.

    Responsibilities

    The House Manager’s duties may vary depending on household size and staff, but general expectations include:

    Household Coordination & Scheduling

    Manage family and household calendars

    Arrange and confirm personal and professional appointments

    Schedule and oversee home maintenance, repairs, and contractors

    Staff Management

    Supervise household staff (housekeepers, chefs, nannies, etc.)

    Support training, scheduling, and performance oversight

    Household Operations

    Handle vendor communications and light administrative duties

    Manage household inventories and supplies

    Run light errands and complete ad hoc tasks as needed

    Family & Event Support

    Plan and coordinate family events, dinners, or gatherings

    Shop for groceries, household items, and specialty requests

    Light meal preparation and/or coordinating with chefs

    Assist with laundry, wardrobe organization, and linens as needed

    Oversight of Property & Finances

    Ensure smooth day-to-day functioning of the residence

    Track budgets and household expenses when applicable

    Qualifications

    Prior experience as a House Manager, Housekeeper, or in professional household management preferred

    Strong organizational and time-management skills

    Excellent communication, discretion, and problem-solving abilities

    Ability to work independently while anticipating family needs

    Punctual, reliable, and detail-oriented

    Must be eligible to work in the U.S. (W2 employment)
