    Position Title: House Manager

    Location: All-Male Group Home (Adult Individuals with Intellectual Disabilities) Schedule: Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM Employment Type: Full-Time Compensation: $23.00/hour (Weekly Pay) Benefits: benefits available

    Position Summary

    The House Manager is responsible for the overall daily operations, supervision, and coordination of services within an all-male residential group home serving adult individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This role ensures a safe, structured, and supportive living environment while promoting independence, dignity, and person-centered care. The House Manager oversees staff performance, ensures regulatory compliance, and maintains high standards of care in accordance with Shore Community Services, Inc. policies and state regulations.

    Key Responsibilities

    1. Program Oversight & Resident Care

    Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of all residents at all times

    Implement and monitor Individual Support Plans (ISPs) and behavior support plans

    Promote independence, life skills development, and community integration

    Ensure all medical, dietary, and personal care needs are met appropriately

    Coordinate medical appointments and follow-up care as needed

    Maintain accurate documentation of services, incidents, and daily activities

    1. Staff Supervision & Leadership

    Supervise, train, and support Direct Support Professionals (DSPs)

    Create and manage staff schedules to ensure proper coverage and ratios

    Conduct staff meetings, performance evaluations, and ongoing coaching

    Address staff concerns, performance issues, and disciplinary actions in collaboration with HR

    Ensure all staff are properly trained and compliant with required certifications (e.g., MANDT, CPR/First Aid)

    1. Compliance & Documentation

    Ensure compliance with all local, state, and organizational regulations and standards

    Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, including MARs, progress notes, and incident reports

    Prepare for and participate in audits, inspections, and licensing reviews

    Ensure all documentation is completed in a timely and professional manner

    1. Household Management

    Oversee daily household operations including cleanliness, maintenance, and organization

    Ensure proper food planning, grocery shopping, and meal preparation

    Manage household budget and expenditures in accordance with company guidelines

    Coordinate transportation for residents as needed

    1. Communication & Coordination

    Serve as primary point of contact for families, guardians, and interdisciplinary team members

    Communicate effectively with upper management regarding home operations, concerns, and updates

    Participate in team meetings, care planning sessions, and organizational initiatives

    Foster a positive and respectful environment for residents and staff

    1. Crisis Management & Safety

    Respond to emergencies and behavioral crises in a calm and professional manner

    Implement de-escalation techniques and ensure proper incident reporting

    Ensure all safety protocols and emergency procedures are followed

    1. Professional Standards

    Maintain confidentiality of all resident and organizational information

    Demonstrate professionalism, reliability, and ethical conduct at all times

    Serve as a role model for staff in providing high-quality, compassionate care

    Other Duties

    Perform other duties as assigned by the management team to support the mission, operations, and success of Shore Community Services, Inc. These duties may include, but are not limited to, assisting in additional homes, supporting organizational events, participating in trainings, or taking on special projects as needed.

    Qualifications

    Experience working with individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities preferred

    Previous supervisory or leadership experience strongly preferred

    High school diploma or equivalent required (Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred)

    Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

    Ability to pass background check and drug screening

    Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills

    Physical & Work Requirements

    Ability to lift, assist, and support individuals as needed

    Ability to remain active throughout the shift (standing, walking, bending)

    Ability to respond quickly in emergency situations
