    Annual Salary: $37,440 Compensation Structure: Salaried (40 hours/week) with stipend for hours worked beyond 40

    Pledge Residential Care is seeking a dedicated and motivated House Manager to lead one of our residential programs supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities, autism, and related needs. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who is passionate about person-centered care, staff development, and maintaining safe, respectful, and empowering home environments.

    As a House Manager, you will serve as the primary leader of the home—ensuring quality services, regulatory compliance, and a positive culture for both individuals supported and staff.

    What You’ll Do

    As a House Manager, you’ll wear many hats—and every one of them matters.

    Lead with Purpose

    Provide leadership, guidance, and supervision to Direct Support Professionals (DSPs)

    Coordinate services for individuals with a wide range of emotional, behavioral, medical, and developmental needs

    Serve as the primary point of contact for day-to-day program operations

    Support Daily Living

    Oversee daily routines including personal care, meals, habilitation activities, and community engagement

    Ensure services promote dignity, independence, choice, and meaningful participation

    Promote Health & Safety

    Maintain a safe and healthy home environment in compliance with agency policies and Maine DHHS/OADS regulations

    Coordinate medical appointments, medication oversight (as applicable), and follow health and safety protocols

    Respond to incidents and emergencies appropriately and in accordance with policy

    Manage with Care

    Schedule staff, ensure adequate coverage, and provide on-call support as required

    Train, coach, and mentor staff to meet performance, compliance, and care standards

    Participate in staff evaluations, corrective action, and ongoing development

    Build Relationships & Community

    Communicate professionally and collaboratively with individuals supported, families, guardians, case managers, and state partners

    Foster an inclusive and respectful home culture that supports belonging and community integration

    Drive Excellence

    Oversee household operations including cleanliness, maintenance, supplies, and documentation

    Ensure accurate and timely completion of required records, reports, and logs

    Monitor program needs and communicate concerns or improvement opportunities to leadership

    Key Responsibilities

    Supervise daily operations of a residential program

    Support and monitor implementation of service plans, behavior support plans, and safety plans

    Train, supervise, and support DSP staff

    Maintain compliance with licensing, documentation, and agency standards

    Ensure the home remains clean, organized, and well-maintained

    Provide on-call coverage and fill in when necessary

    Track hours worked beyond 40 and follow stipend compensation procedures

    What You Bring

    Education / Experience

    High School diploma, or Human Services, or a related field OR

    3–5+ years of experience in residential services with supervisory or leadership experience

    Skills

    Strong leadership, organization, and problem-solving skills

    Excellent written and verbal communication

    Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

    Technical & Licensing

    Comfortable with digital documentation systems and Microsoft Office

    Valid Maine Driver’s License with acceptable driving record

    Preferred

    Experience working with Maine DHHS/OADS or similar regulatory bodies

    Knowledge of Section 21 / residential services
