This position requires a unique mix of sales and customer service skills, plus the ability to manage loan files from beginning to end. Responsibilities: • Screen and make calls, book appointments and provide administrative support as needed • Review all loan package documentation for discrepancies, omissions, and income calculation then report any discrepancies to the loan originator • Act as the primary contact between our clients and our company and schedule and conduct meetings to discuss any follow-up issues or items that need to be addressed • Gather and coordinate necessary loan documentation necessary for verifications and underwriting such as loan files, loan packages, credit reports, and additional mortgage application paperwork • Answer questions about transactions for clients and company employees to help ensure a high level of customer satisfaction • Develop and maintain referral partner relationships • Take and process applications from borrowers • Guide borrowers through the mortgage process for home purchases and refinances • Research competitive mortgage rates and interest rates, and negotiate terms to find ideal mortgage product and lender for potential borrowers • Ensure a smooth mortgage process by working with the borrower’s real estate agent, mortgage professionals such as closing agents, and financial institution department underwriters Qualifications: • Highly motivated and goal-oriented with excellent customer service and communication skills • Strong understanding of loan financing options such as conventional loans, FHA, VA, adjustable/ fixed, commercial loans, etc. • Preferred degree in banking or finance, and a high school diploma or equivalent is required • 5+ years of professional office environment experience as a loan officer assistant or mortgage assistant preferred • Computer proficiency required including MS Office; some CRM, MLS, DU, and proprietary mortgage software preferred • NMLS license is required before start date Compensation: $84,000 - $105,000 yearly
