House of Spices is a deeply rooted brand within the food industry, leading the specialty food and ingredient category for over 40 years. Fast-forward from its start as a homegrown family business, House of Spices has become a middle-market wholesale/manufacturer which includes multiple distribution networks across the country. Although the business has and continues to expand rapidly, the brand is still family-owned and home-based out of the NYC metro area. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Take Orders over Phone, Email, Fax
• Responsible to enter HoS Customer Orders into ERP System.
• Follow-up with Customers on Orders – Discuss Deals, Prices, Stocks, Shipping, Receivables.
• Tag Field Sales Representatives for Order Taking, Order Enhancement & Coordination
• Work with Warehouse team for Order & Shipping Coordination, Stock related issues, etc.
• Create and Send Invoices.
• Participate in Review (Location) Sales Meetings, Planning and Order Enhancement Strategies.
• Review Sales reports.
• Growth Opportunities – Cold Calling, New Customer Creation.
• Handle Walk-in customers or Cash & Carry Customers.
• Hindi Speaking Preferred

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• 3-5 years in sales within the Food/Beverage/Manufacturing/Related environment.

• Knowledge / Experience of South Asian Products/Markets Preferred.

• Understanding of the sales process and dynamics.

• A commitment to excellent customer service.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Superb interpersonal skills, including the ability to quickly build rapport with both customers and suppliers.

• Experience using computers for a variety of tasks.

• Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.

• Able to work comfortably in a fast-paced environment.
