American Swim Academy's Fremont location is hiring a part-time weekend housekeeper.
The housekeeper is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and functioning environment for our members and staff; this includes the interior and exterior of the swim school.
SCHEDULE:
Schedule: Friday and Saturday, 8:30 am - 4 pm
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Completing all daily and weekly assigned duties as directed by school management.
Completing the daily and weekly checklist, and turning in to school management each shift.
Removing debris from and vacuuming all carpeted areas including offices, break and training rooms, viewing area, etc.
Cleaning wet area floors and drains including tiled bathroom floors and the shower, hallways, and changing room floors.
Maintaining the safety of our members by squeegeeing or drying standing water throughout the shift.
All dusting including but not limited to window sills, door jambs, frames, break room surfaces, vending machines/refrigerators, bathrooms and changing partitions etc.
Maintaining the cleanliness of all bathrooms and change rooms and their fixtures, including but not limited to toilets, sinks, changing tables, hand dryers, benches, and trash cans.
Cleaning shower areas.
Stocking all dispensers.
Reporting any safety hazards or needed repairs.
Emptying all trash and replacing liners as needed.
Spot cleaning all glass including windows and mirrors.
Maintaining walkways and parking lot including removal of litter, sweeping bark into planters, cleaning and emptying trash cans, and spot cleaning windows.
Cleaning the break room and training room daily including tables, microwave, refrigerator, bathrooms, and floors.
Doing all school laundry including towels, rags, and mop heads.
Maintaining neat and organized housekeeping areas and notifying management if supplies are needed.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Communicate with members, co-workers, and school management in a friendly, positive, and professional manner.
Meet the physical demands of the cleaning tasks assigned, including frequent walking, standing, kneeling, bending, and reaching for up to 8 hours.
Lift 0 - 25 pounds
Clean in a busy family environment with minimal interruption to members and staff.
Use all appropriate cleaning solutions in a safe and approved manner.
Carry out written and oral instructions.
Arrive on schedule and maintain regular attendance.
Respond appropriately to directions from a supervisor.
Accomplish tasks with minimal supervision.
Recognize potential hazards and respond appropriately.

COMPENSATION
Part-time position: $19.00 - $20.00 per hour, based upon experience

We offer personalized classes on a flexible schedule year-round, 7 days a week. Our indoor pools are heated to a comfortable 92° and have been designed specifically for swim instruction.
