The Laurel at Vernon Hills Memory Care , located in Vernon Hills, IL, is seeking a friendly, reliable Part-Time Evening Housekeeper/Maintenance Assistant This role is responsible for the general housekeeping of the community and assisting with simple maintenance projects. This hybrid role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety in their workday and takes pride in creating a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our residents.

Responsibilities

• Perform general housekeeping duties in resident rooms, guest rooms, offices, and common areas.
• Ensure all assigned areas are kept clean, sanitary, and orderly.
• Launder linens and resident clothing as assigned.
• Assist with simple maintenance tasks as requested.
• Support community upkeep, including light cleaning, trash removal, and basic repair tasks.
• Follow established procedures, safety precautions, and infection control standards.
• Ensure residents are treated with privacy, respect, and dignity.
• Complete state‑required training upon hire and annually.

Required Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 18 years of age.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to speak, read, and write in English.
• Prior maintenance experience preferred but not required

Job Type

• Part‑Time
• Evening 3:30 pm to 7:30pm
