Position Title: Housekeeping Attendant
Locations: Woodstock Way Hotel and Kingston Carriage House
Position Summary: The Housekeeping Attendant is responsible for ensuring the cleanliness, organization, and overall presentation of guest rooms and public areas. This role supports the property’s commitment to providing a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for all guests. Strong time management skills are essential in this role, as there is a limited window between guest departures and arrivals; punctuality and the ability to use time efficiently are critical to success.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Clean, sanitize, and prepare guest rooms in accordance with established standards, including making beds and replenishing all required amenities and supplies prior to guest arrival.
Maintain the cleanliness and organization of all common and guest-accessible areas, including but not limited to the break room, front lobby (tannery), deck, laundry room, and housekeeping storage areas and closets.
Ensure both interior and exterior areas of assigned rooms are properly maintained and presentable at all times.
Perform laundry operations, including washing, drying, folding, and organizing linens and towels.
Stock and maintain housekeeping carts, storage areas, and supply closets to ensure adequate inventory levels.
Assist with receiving housekeeping deliveries, including unloading, unpacking, and placing supplies in designated storage areas.
Maintain and stock the deck with necessary supplies to ensure it remains clean, organized, and guest-ready.
Perform general outdoor upkeep, including sweeping, leaf blowing, and applying salt to walkways and guest areas such as the deck and tannery seating spaces, as needed.
Inspect assigned areas to ensure readiness standards are consistently met and report any maintenance or safety concerns promptly.
Takes responsibility for maintaining a safe and orderly property presentation, which may require occasional assistance with snow, ice or debris removal.

Employees are expected to demonstrate professionalism, respect, and effective communication when interacting with coworkers and guests.
Strong time management and punctuality are essential; employees must effectively prioritize tasks and complete responsibilities within tight turnaround times between guest departures and arrivals.
The role may require physical activity, including lifting, bending, standing, and extended periods of movement.

Seasonal duties may include snow shoveling; participation in these tasks is voluntary and not a required function of the role.
