    General Summary:

    Under the direction of the Team Leader the Environmental Service Aide cleans and services patient, public, clinical and administrative areas maintaining a clean and aseptic environment. Demonstrates actions consistent with CDC guidelines and STTCHC “Guiding Principles” as duties are performed on a daily basis.

    Minimum Qualifications: Education, Experience, & Training:

    High school graduate or equivalent. Basic knowledge in housekeeping cleaning procedure and housekeeping equipment. Minimum of 2 years in Health Care environment required.

    Other Qualifications: Able to operate environmental services equipment . Equipment includes, dust mop, wet mop, bucket and wringer, spray bottles, dustpan, and any other equipment that may be necessary.

    Physical Demands:

    Physically fit with the ability to work on his or her feet 100% of the time. Must be able to lift and carry materials or equipment up to 25 lbs. Must be able to bend, stoop, kneel, and stretch for short periods. Must be able to work with chemical products, both acidic and alkaline in nature.

    Essential Job Duty Maintains all areas of the clinic in a clean and aseptic manner.

    Organizes, prioritizes, and implements housekeeping tasks on a daily basis.

    Demonstrates competence in a safe and effective manner, while performing housekeeping tasks.

    Demonstrates the ability to keep a dust free and aseptic environment.

    Performs daily clean tasks according to Clinic Policy and Procedure Manual.

    Demonstrate the ability to use chemicals and equipment according to suggested manufacturer instructions.

    Reports the need to make repairs to the building, furniture or equipment to the Maintenance log or Team Leader.

    Cleans and reports discharges according to Clinic Policy and Procedure Manual.

    Specific schedule

    Organizes and maintains housekeeping supplies in closets on a daily basis.

    Demonstrates the ability to maintain housekeeping equipment in a clean and safe manner.

    Cleans and organizes housekeeping carts on a daily basis.

    Demonstrate the ability to follow Clinic Attendance and Punctuality Policy and Procedure.

    Demonstrate the ability to follow Clinic Personal Appearance Policy and Procedure.

    Assist with special projects and to work as a team

    Communicate in a professional, calm and positive manner, which facilitates a cooperative and collaborative environment.

    Recognizes and responds appropriately to verbal and non-verbal cues from patients, families, visitors & staff.

    Demonstrates flexibility in scheduling and staffing practices to accommodate needs of facility.

    Special projects as assigned
