The Housekeeping Supervisor oversees cleaning staff to ensure high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and maintenance in hotels, hospitals, or commercial facilities. Key duties include scheduling shifts, inspecting rooms and public areas, managing inventory/supplies, training team members, and addressing guest complaints or special requests. Responsibilities: • Team Leadership: Supervising, mentoring, and motivating housekeeping attendants to ensure efficiency. • Quality Inspection: Inspecting guest rooms, public areas, and employee work for cleanliness and compliance with safety standards. • Operational Management: Scheduling staff, managing inventory of cleaning products/linens, and ordering supplies. • Training & Compliance: Training new hires on cleaning techniques, safety procedures (e.g., OSHA, sanitation regulations), and equipment operation. • Guest Service: Responding to urgent guest needs, complaints, or special requests. • Administrative Duties: Filing reports on room status, identifying repairs, and managing staff attendance. Qualifications: • Experience: Previous experience as a housekeeper or in a supervisory role within the hospitality industry. • Leadership: Strong interpersonal, team management, and conflict resolution skills. • Communication: Effective written and verbal communication skills. • Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs. • Organization: High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks. • Flexibility: Availability to work weekends, holidays, and varied shifts. Compensation: $21 - $23 hourly
