Job Description:
Europa Village is an Old-World European style winery in Temecula Valley’s Wine Country specializing in Spanish, Italian and French varietals. We have 340 acres with grape vines, two tasting rooms, a restaurant and a total of 21 rooms. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic with a passion for hospitality and providing exceptional elevated service.
The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily housekeeping operations to ensure guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces are cleaned and maintained to hotel/public area standards. This role supervises housekeeping staff, ensures quality control, and supports training, scheduling, and inventory management.
Other Qualifications:
· High school diploma or equivalent.
· Supervisory experience preferred.
· Prior housekeeping experience in a hotel or hospitality setting preferred.
· Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record & the ability to drive company carts.
· Knowledge of hotel cleaning standards and procedures
· Ability to lead, motivate, and communicate effectively with staff
· Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
· Ability to be hospitable, welcoming, and exhibit a positive attitude and willingness to assist where necessary.
Key Responsibilities Specific to Housekeeping Supervisor:
· Possess and live Europa Village Core Values.
· Assist on the onboarding and training new housekeeping staff.
· Supervise, support and coordinate daily activities of housekeeping staff, including room attendants, public area attendants, and laundry personnel.
· Assign work schedules and rooms based on occupancy, staffing levels, and priorities.
· Assist with performance evaluations and recommend corrective or disciplinary action when necessary.
· Communicate effectively with Front Desk, Maintenance, and Management to ensure smooth operations.
· Inspect guest rooms and public areas to ensure cleanliness, sanitation, and presentation meet hotel standards.
· Ability to lead by example in a hands-on, working supervisor position and step in to assist with cleaning duties as needed during high‑volume periods or staff shortages.
· Ability to maintain housekeeping storage areas in a clean, organized, and safe condition. Including lost and found.
· Monitor cleaning supplies, linens, and department inventory.
· Ability to work a flexible schedule to include weekends, holidays, and nights to operate the business at the highest levels of guest service. Open availability.
· Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
· Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift during extended periods
· Provide directions to ensure guest rooms and public areas meet hotel and brand cleanliness standards.
· Assist in shuttling guests if needed.
· Other duties assigned as needed.
Expectations of the Housekeeping Supervisor
· Be able to communicate Europa Village’s story.
· Open to cross training in other areas if needed.
· Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.
· Assist in all areas of housekeeping to include hotel rooms, public areas and laundry.
· Must be able to lift to 40 pounds on a regular basis.
· Ability to respond and resolve guest requests, complaints or questions in a courteous and timely manner.
· Create and foster an environment of “teamwork” by helping fellow Villagers or guests without a second thought.
· Ability to treat all staff and guests in a respectable manner.
· Arriving at work prepared with excellent personal presentation standards and clean, pressed uniform and appropriate slacks, stockings and shoes.
· Adhere to Europa Village policies and procedures.
