Job Summary

We are looking for a professional Housekeeping Supervisor to join our team. You will be responsible for motivating a team of housekeeping professionals and creating an environment for them to perform at their best. Focusing on time management and quality control is critical. Managing workflow and labor resources is a daily challenge. Overseeing staff and making schedules are primary duties.

Responsibilities:

Overseeing housekeeping and laundry functions, ensuring great communication, cooperation, and coordination between departments

Creating and updating housekeeping and laundry schedules daily to ensure proper staffing and arrange for replacements in cases of an absence

Training all new housekeeping and laundry staff

Ensuring company cleaning and laundry standards are consistently met

Being aware of housekeeping and laundry needs relative to cabins, checking in and out, including dog supplies and rugs

Work to ensure a high esprit de corps throughout the organization

Assisting as needed in cleaning and laundry according to company standards

Perform cabin walkthroughs upon completion of cleaning

Organizing and maintaining the stock of supplies and laundry

Reporting maintenance issues to the maintenance department and/or management

Report to owners directly

Qualifications:

Prior experience as a Housekeeping Supervisor or in a similar position is preferred

Prior experience providing cleaning and/or and laundry services for companies or organizations is preferred

Comfortable using commercial grade cleaning equipment and green cleaning products

Excellent management and organizational skills

Soft skills such as effective communication, leadership, and problem-solving abilities are crucial

Lead by example and motivate staff, resolve conflicts, and adapt to changing situations

Computer proficiency with the ability to create schedules and use scheduling app

Stamina to handle the physical demands of the job for an entire shift which requires continuous movement, regularly bending, lifting, pushing, pulling, carrying, and moving up to 25 pounds

Capable of standing for long periods

Willing to drive a golf cart

Must be available to work weekends and holidays
