JOB TITLE:
ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE COORDINATOR
REPORTS TO:
Senior Accountant
SALARY GRADE:
HSG Coordinator I, $3482 - $4,099
POSITION SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for tenant accounts receivable, public records requests, document archiving and assisting with other duties in the accounting department. The position provides coverage to the front reception area during the absence of the receptionist. This is a union position.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Other duties may be assigned as needed.
1. Monitoring of tenant accounts receivables.
2. Reconcile and prepare daily deposits from the cash receipts.
3. Bank statement reconciliations
4. Responsible for assisting in the accounting department in the absence of other accounting department personnel.
5. Responsible for reporting monthly Accounts Receivable data, monthly rent rolls, as well as tenant delinquency which includes processing pay or vacates and balance due reports.
6. Responsible for archiving files and documents as well as staying up to date with the archiving as it pertains to the Housing Authority.
7. Manage public records requests and maintaining files, logs and keeping up to date with the latest laws and changes regarding these requests.
8. Process tenant move outs.
9. Responsible for reporting any inaccuracies of the accounting system or policies as necessary to the Finance Director or immediate supervisor.
10. Perform other duties as needed.

ABILITY TO:
· Manage an efficient records system.
· Computer literacy, Word, Excel, Sage 100, Yardi and other specialized programs.
· Be able to operate multiple office machines such as copier, fax machines, and a ten key calculator and know the computer keyboard.
· Maintain confidentiality of client records and business information.
· Be able to work efficiently in a fast moving environment and be able to provide customer service in a sometimes stressful situation.
· Be able to provide excellent customer service to customers and co-workers.
QUALIFICATIONS:
A combination of the experience, education, and training listed below which provides an equivalent background to perform the work of this position.
EXPERIENCE:
One to three years of experience in general bookkeeping functions is required, including at least one year of customer service experience.
LICENSES OR CERTIFICATES:
· Must have a valid U.S. state driver’s license when hired and the ability to obtain a Washington State driver’s license within one month of hire.
KNOWLEDGE
Knowledge of HUD, USDA Rural Development, and operations.

This position works in an office, and the noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals, i.e. copier toner.
Incumbents travel as needed. Occasionally, the employee may be required to travel to training classes.
