    Position Summary:

    Incumbent collects data, prepares and reconciles reports before final submission. The Compliance Coordinator must develop an in depth knowledge of compliance standards for grant programs. Establish and/or maintain internal controls and timeliness for critical grant tasks with particular attention to compliance milestones such as obligations expenditures, and close-out deadlines. The Compliance Coordinator manages multiple projects simultaneously and has strong decision-making, critical thinking, and time management skills.

    Essential Functions:

    Prepared applications for United States Department of Housing and Urban Development Rental Assistance Demonstration and other available conversion methods.

    Review and interpret new and existing regulations and provide guidance to program staff on new polices as mandated by HUD.

    Prepare relevant materials for implementation of regulations and statutory changes including drafting training manuals, polices, procedures, manuals, and forms.

    When applicable, assist in preparing applications in response to notices of funding availability published by HUD in the Federal Register or promulgated by other agencies impacting HAJ programs.

    Performs necessary resident file and work order audits.

    Generates accurate and thorough audit summary reports.

    Keeps current on all updates, requirements and changes to section 8 project based rental assistance program federal regulations, and guidelines governing Fair Housing, EIV system, LIHTC

    Maintains an excellent and up-to-date knowledge of the HUD Handbook 4350.3 HUD Housing Notices, HUD Memos, HUD Listerv announcements, IRS 8823 Audit Technique Guide, Rules and Regulations.

    Maintains full Enterprise Income Verification (EIV) compliance and monitors the compliance with EIV requirements of on-site staff.

    Ensures all EIV monthly, quarterly, and annual reports are completed timely.

    Ability to maintain detailed and accurate records

    Proficiency in basic computer skills

    Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint

    Must be strong in an environment with minimal supervision and demanding deadlines

    Excellent organization, verbal communication skills

    Ability to demonstrate clear, professional boundaries with a high level of confdentiality

    Qualifications:

    Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university

    2-5 years in compliance related role

    Experience developing and implementing client/resident programs with a proven track record in networking and building partnerships in communities
