  • Responsibilities

    Job Description

    The candidate will routinely perform transportation planning work that may involve multimodal corridor studies, master transportation plans, land use planning, travel demand modeling and forecasting, and other transportation planning efforts. Additional duties may include:

    • Identify new clients and manage client relationships to win and deliver transportation planning related projects.
    • Lead and support planning analysis and design from inception through final completion, including preparing and managing budgets, scopes, schedules, and staff.
    • Engage and deliver presentations to the client, public, management staff, and elected officials.
    • Collaborate with engineers to research, analyze, and resolve complex transportation design issues.
    • Traffic and crash data collection and analysis.
    • Review technical work prepared by team members.
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in planning, engineering, or a related field.
    • AICP Certification, PTP Certification, or Professional Engineer license in the state where you would be located or the ability to obtain license within 6 months.
    • 8+ years of experience preferred in transportation planning and preparation of planning documents.
    • Excellent leadership and project management skills.
    • Strong technical writing skills.
    • Working knowledge of project team roles and responsibilities.
    • Working knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local codes.
    • Ability to communicate effectively and appropriately with groups both internally and externally.
    • Visa sponsorship is not available for this position; authorization to work in the United States permanently without the requirement of sponsorship at any point in the future required.
