Dole Fresh Vegetables has excellent opportunities for Maintenance personnel at its’ Value-Added fresh salad production plant in Springfield, Ohio to add to our team.
We are interested in hiring skilled Electricians and Certified Welders (sanitary stainless steel TIG welding).
Pay ranges from $20.80 – $27.80 per hour with $0.20/hr. shift differential for 2nd and 3rd shift. The company offers an excellent benefit package and advancement opportunities. Starting pay is based on education, experience, and knowledge.
Education Requirements: Two-year or four-year college degree preferred or a minimum of five years of equivalent combination of training and related experience.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & BACKGROUND FOR CANDIDATES:
- Five or more years’ experience working in a manufacturing facility
- Welding and electrical training/certification
- Five or more years’ experience of hands-on electrical maintenance and installation
- Proficient in the use of hand tools and machinery operated in a facility
- Hands-on experience in maintenance work such as electrical, painting, pluming, welding, and carpentry (drywall repairs)
- Ability to maneuver around an array of equipment, to work in a cold environment, bend, stoop, climb stairs, and lift up to 40-50 pounds
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Forklift experience a plus
- Positive attitude and good attendance are a must
- Candidate must have own tools
PRIMARY JOB FUNCTIONS:
These positions are responsible for, but not limited to the following:
- Adherence to all company Safety Rules and Standard Operating Procedures
- Observation of mechanical devices and trouble shooting
- Dismantling, repairing, and replacing defective parts
- Ensuring all PMs assigned get completed as scheduled
- Assist other departments to ensure high production efficiency and low equipment downtime
- Knowledge of 24v, 120v, and 480v is a must for those applying for any electrician positions
- Ability to troubleshoot PLC and automated conveyor system
- Custodial maintenance support
- Complete facilities request that are received in the Work Order system
- Provide preventive maintenance on all equipment such as building electrical systems, plumbing, packaging machinery, and automated conveyor system for raw/finished product
