Production Worker Job Description

Overview

We are seeking a skilled Production Worker (Metal Cell Operator) to join our team at our facility located in LaPorte, IN, 46350. The ideal candidate will have experience in a manufacturing environment and possess a strong set of skills including shop math, blueprint reading, metal cleaning, finishing, and dimensional inspection and FPI inspection.

Responsibilities

• Operate machinery and equipment in a manufacturing setting
• Read and interpret blueprints to ensure accurate production
• Perform deburring tasks to smooth out rough edges on metal parts
• Utilize metal casting techniques to create various components
• Utilize basic computer skills to input and track production data

Qualifications

• Experience working in a manufacturing environment - at least 6 months

• High School diploma or GED equivalent

• Strong shop math skills

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints

• Have finishing skills (stones, burrs, belts, etc.).

• Basic computer skills
