Hr - Accounting Support Coordinator

This role offers a unique blend of accounting, HR, and administrative responsibilities. You will play a key part in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting HR functions, and assisting executive leadership—making a real impact on the day-to-day operations of our business. This role requires accuracy, organization, and a proactive, team-oriented mindset. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundational background in accounting and HR support, with a preference for experience in the construction or HVAC industry. Responsibilities: HR & Administrative Support • Ensure compliance with prevailing wage requirements and documentation • Assist with payroll processing and timesheet verification • Provide administrative assistance to the HR and recruiting teams, including candidate tracking and interview scheduling • Support onboarding processes and personnel documentation • Maintain organized records and documentation for compliance • Assist the executive team with scheduling, reporting, and administrative tasks Accounting & Finance Support • Review Accounts Payable (AP) General Ledger (GL) coding for accuracy • Enter journal entries to the general ledger with meticulous attention to detail • Assist with account reconciliations by conducting account research to resolve discrepancies and support audits • Assist with construction billings, revenue calculations, and reporting • Provide back-up support for both Accounts Receivable (AR) and AP functions • Participate in system conversion, including data review and cleanup • Other responsibilities as necessary Qualifications: Key Attributes for Success • 2–5 years of hands-on experience in accounting and/or HR support, preferably within the construction or HVAC sectors • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel , including the use of pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and other data analysis tools • Working knowledge of construction payroll , including prevailing wage laws and certified payroll reporting, is a strong plus • Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks or other industry-relevant platforms • Exceptional attention to detail with a strong commitment to accuracy and data integrity • Excellent organizational and time management skills , with the ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment • Self-motivated with a “can-do” attitude and a collaborative, team-first approach • Quick learner who can adapt to new systems, processes, and technologies efficiently Compensation: $25 - $28 hourly
