MARKETING MANAGER
The Marketing Manager supports the marketing department in the objective of driving profitable sales, and to that end: executing the marketing strategy and calendar in conjunction with agency partners and cross-functionally within Perkins. This position will support restaurants and franchise partners to ensure increased brand awareness, engagement and sales, enabling Perkins to achieve its financial goals
This position reports directly to Vice President of Marketing for Perkins at the Restaurant Support Center in Sandy Springs, GA, just north of Atlanta.
POSITION ACTIVITIES AND EXPECTATIONS
Responsible for development of programs designed to drive sales for both corporate and franchise restaurants.
Responsible for menu development (working with R&D) and product research and testing development (working with R&D and Operations) in support of strategic brand initiatives.
Works collaboratively with internal marketing staff, operations, franchisees and advertising agency to develop and execute short and long-term strategies.
Responsible for coordination of all menu and collateral + point-of-purchase creative production for both corporate and franchise restaurants. Includes concept development, creative approval, photography shoots and written communication.
Responsible for coordination of media production (television, radio, digital, etc.) materials for both corporate and franchise restaurants.
Responsible for management of the Perkins Marketing Fund, including all DMA funds, ensuring that all projects are managed to budget, and plans are recalibrated on an ongoing basis.
Understanding of industry and brand specific KPIs relating to sales, traffic, check and margin
Ability to interpret data, analyzing and evaluating results for specific programs and campaigns to support the development and refinement of future marketing plans
Manage the brand’s gift card program
Ensuring all marketing communications are consistent with Perkins culture, support business objectives, and are an effective use of resources
In collaboration with the Field Marketing staff, developing local marketing programs to support the overall marketing calendar and ongoing oversight of Perkins turnkey LSM platform
Keen awareness of emerging restaurant, business, economic, and social trends
EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
3+ years of experience in fast-paced, highly competitive consumer markets
Hospitality, retail or franchise experience preferred but not required
Strong interpersonal skills and can effectively interact with all levels within the organization
Ability to facilitate meetings with strong presentation skills
Innovative and strategic thinker with strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Strong organizational and time management skills
Excellent project management skills and attention to detail
Advanced knowledge of Excel and Powerpoint required, knowledge of Illustrator, Acrobat preferred but not required
Bachelor’s Degree required
