    Position Overview

    The Legal Administrator serves as a support position to Lead General Counsel to assist in the workflow for Franchise Agreement deals from inception to post closing status as well as ongoing maintenance of information. This position requires tracking and updating of legal forms (i.e. renewals of leases and Franchise Agreements, recording/renewal of franchise documents.)

    Position Responsibilities

    Contract review, preparation, proofreading and edits.

    Review of franchisee initial and transfer applications.

    Preparation of cure/default and termination letters.

    Database management and report generation: MS Dynamics: FRM

    Franchise Disclosure Document (FDD) item edits and maintenance.

    Legal document tracking and maintenance (i.e. franchise insurance certificates, franchise agreements, assumed name certificates, leases, addendums, and defaults.)

    Review of incoming franchise packets.

    Fill out deal information and other checklists.

    Preparation of closing packages including; collating all Agreement information with 3rd party documents & prep of all loose documents relevant to Franchise Agreement closing.

    Tracking calendar objectives & updates (including tracking of daily agenda items, as well as Franchise Agreements renewals, lease renewals and defaults).

    Submission and tracking UCC filings/continuations.

    File maintenance.

    Updating Unit Information sheets for distribution.

    Legal research as necessary.

    Job Qualifications and Skills

    5+ years of legal drafting and reporting experience in the franchised business industry.

    Degree or in-process course of study in ABA approved Paralegal program.

    Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

    Strong written and verbal communication skills

    Candidate must work well in a team environment

    Highly productive

    Self-starter and strong willed

    Advanced computer skills are critical to position; capacity to learn new software programs is required.

    Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite

    Exposure to a CRM system.
