Medical Records Legal Assistant (Personal Injury) The rapidly growing personal injury law firm is seeking a full-time Medical Records Legal Assistant with at least 2 years of medical records experience. The job will entail working with the assigned Paralegal and Attorney to request medical records and bills from the client’s medical providers. We are looking for a hardworking, detail-oriented individual with an exceptionally positive attitude and compassion for helping injured clients. Our new Medical Records Legal assistants must be able to prove their work, multi-task, follow policies and procedures, and make wise decisions. Responsibilities: • Requesting medical records and bills from various medical providers (including Affidavits). • Following up with previously sent medical records and bills requests. • Reviewing medical records and bills for completeness. • Reviewing medical bills to update case management software with total charges, payments, adjustments and balances. • Sending and following up on Open Records Requests. Qualifications: Experience with legal software, litigation case management, and docketing programs Proficient with MS Office products Associate’s degree, or some college is preferred; high school diploma or equivalent is necessary At least 1-2 years of previous experience in a law firm setting performing administrative tasks Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines with quick turnaround times Compensation: $38,000
