Job Description

This is an internship (part-time or full-time) that can lead to a full-time career with the company with growth opportunities. We are a company that has an extended international team across the US, Canada, and Europe. You will be assigned to our new Southern California office as an intern and will learn and perform duties equivalent to that as a Marketing Coordinator.

You will be a marketing machine for a number of websites within the network and reaching out to a worldwide network of consumers. As a marketing intern you will use your CREATIVE powers to help brainstorm new ideas and concepts, creating new and enhance existing marketing campaigns to drive traffic to sites.

Since we handle “everything digital” or some brands, you'll be learning how to market with and acquire a full arsenal of digital skills. The major role you'll play is being a contributor to a number of portals/blogs that push traffic to our eCommerce sites. You'll also be posting updates and engaging fans on Facebook, tweeting to followers on Twitter, and using sites like Tumblr to deliver content to the public.

Responsibilities

• Work with management  to establish needs and track progress
• Interface with marketing teams and external partners/clients for content
• Research topics and create content that engages the target market
• Update blogs with content consistent to each individual brand and site
• Maintain Social Media networks, Twitter, Facebook, Tumblr, Google Plus, etc.
• Comfortable interfacing with followers and fans (ex. tweeting to 20.000+ followers)
• Select content to be featured, create banners and promotional material
• Assist in general duties on an as need basis.
• Attend trade shows and conventions in Las Vegas, NV and Los Angeles, CA on an as needed basis (optional)

Qualifications

• 4-year college degree OR equivalent work experience
• Experience in blogging, social media, and digital marketing is required.
• Excellent written communication skills Creative mindset, able to write engaging stories Knowledge of social media sites such as Twitter, Facebook, Hoot Suite , etc. 
• Photoshop or some photo editing ability Dreamweaver or equivalent exposure, some basic HTML editing Experience Data Analytics tools such as Google Webmaster tools and Google Analytics is a plus 
• Knowledge of Search Engine Optimization practices are a plus 
• All candidates must be able to pass a criminal background check

TRAVEL NOTICE: We travel 5-6 times a year (company paid for) so please be able to travel if you are full-time. Locations include Las Vegas, Miami Beach, Phoenix, as well as local travel to Los Angeles and surrounding areas.
