Hull, Mechanical and Electrical Specialist (Non-Nuclear)
Overview: We are seeking a Non-Nuclear Hull, Mechanical and Electrical Specialist to support the U.S. Navy Aircraft Carrier ROC. This role provides expert technical advice on auxiliary machinery, shipboard systems, and equipment status for CVN readiness.
Key Responsibilities:
System Maintenance: Oversee the operation, maintenance, and repair of shipboard galley, laundry, hangar bay doors, and aircraft elevators.
Readiness Modeling: Populate propulsion readiness driver trees and develop visual representations of the Engineering Department readiness.
Technical Advising: Brief senior naval officers on shipboard system status and provide recommended courses of action for repairs.
Program Development: Coordinate with technical agencies to resolve problems in hull, mechanical, and electrical areas.
Maintenance Planning: Analyze the impact of equipment casualties and maintenance on the development of aircraft carrier AWPs.
Strategic Liaison: Inform ROC SMEs of any issues impacting a CVN’s ability to certify for deployment or operations.
Required Qualifications:
Minimum 10 years’ experience briefing senior leadership on shipboard systems and providing repair recommendations.
Minimum 10 years’ experience with auxiliary machinery, shipboard air conditioning, and cargo/weapons elevator systems.
Prior USN Engineering Enlisted Rating or Officer preferred; Refueling Complex Overhaul (RCOH) experience preferred.
Recent technical management experience with CVN Hull, Mechanical, and Electrical requirements (within the last 5 years).
Fluent in Naval Aircraft Carrier references and standard Naval Instruction requirements.
