Overview: We are seeking a Hull, Mechanical and Electrical Specialist with a Nuclear background to provide technical advice for the U.S. Navy Aircraft Carrier ROC. This role is critical in analyzing propulsion plant readiness and nuclear-related Hull, Mechanical, and Electrical Specialist modernization packages.

Key Responsibilities:

Propulsion Readiness: Analyze Propulsion Plant data to populate readiness driver trees and provide visual representations of Reactor Department readiness.

Modernization Oversight: Provide technical advice for proposed Hull, Mechanical, and Electrical modernization packages and coordinate with technical agencies on problem resolution.

Trend Analysis: Conduct trend analysis of CASREPs, material failures, and Liaison Action Reports (LARs) related to reactor-provided services.

Availability Planning: Support the planning and execution of CVN major availabilities and analyze the impacts of equipment casualties on Acquisition Workforce Programs (AWPs).

Budgetary Support: Monitor budget performance and track cost avoidance results for naval engineering maintenance programs.

Leadership Briefing: Inform ROC leadership of propulsion plant issues affecting a carrier's ability to certify for operations.

Required Qualifications:

CVN-specific Reactor experience is required; prior USN Nuclear Enlisted Rating or

Nuclear Officer preferred.

Bachelor’s degree and 4 years' experience, OR Associates and 8 years' experience, OR

HS Diploma and 10 years'; CVN Reactor Operations experience.

Minimum 10 years’ experience in shipboard air conditioning plants and Hull, Mechanical, and Electrical

modernization packages.

Working knowledge of PPLAN, NOSIS, and Naval Reactors technical data sources.

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
