    SUMMARY:

    As our Head of Global Total Rewards, you will thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and drive our Total Rewards strategy at ZipRecruiter. You will serve as a proactive business partner and subject matter expert by being an innovative thinker and strong relationship builder, facilitating business solutions through your functional and technical expertise. In addition, you will ensure all plans are administered in compliance with government regulations.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Prepare and maintain market-based salary and equity bands across Company
    • Identify data sources for third party salary/equity information
    • Engage outside parties to prepare studies when data is limited
    • Continuously review and benchmark internal and external comps
    • Set appropriate ranges for all new reqs
    • Maintain record of employees’ respective job codes vis-a-vis salary/equity bands
    • Plan and administer all merit and promotion review cycles, including the establishment of guidelines for salary and equity
    • Point-of-contact for creation and administration of commission plans (lead)
    • Work with business unit managers who have variable compensation team members to identify exactly what kind of behavior/actions we want to incentivize
    • Work with Finance to develop the goals and structure
    • Take the lead on drafting terms; work with Legal to convert term sheets into formal commission plans
    • Maintain plan term libraries to ensure consistency across plans (e.g. PIP parameters, pay while on leave, timing of commission payments, etc.)
    • Ensure all employees receiving variable incentive compensation have received and signed a commission/bonus plan
    • Plans, directs, and supervises the operation of the various employee benefits programs; analyzes, develops, implements, and evaluates policies and procedures; advises executive management on overall program operations, directs preparation and distribution of insurance and other benefits enrollment materials
    • Ensure that all employee benefit programs, including medical, dental, vision, FSA, life, 401(k), etc., are managed appropriately and that vendors are held accountable to expectations
    • Educate employees on benefit programs and changes. Education should ensure employees understand benefits and available resources
    • Manage all federal, state, and local compliance, filings, reports, and audits related to the administration of employee benefit programs. Ensure all plan documents and Summary Plan Descriptions are complete and updated, 5500 Filings are filed accurately and in a timely manner, discrimination testing has been conducted, and oversee annual plan audits
    • Ensure that leave programs (FMLA and ADA) are managed in compliance with state and federal laws
    • Prepare annual budgets and track all benefit-related expenses on a regular basis

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • BA or BS degree, preferably in Business Administration and/or Human Resources
    • MBA or MA in HR-related field highly preferred
    • Strong experience using Google Apps (Docs, Spreadsheets, Slides)
    • PHR/SPHR certification desirable
    • Experience supporting high-growth technology company
    • 10+ years of overall HR experience with 7+ years of experience focused in Benefits/Compensation design and management
    • Solid business acumen and strategic thinker with excellent grasp of the financial and economic drivers of the overall business
    • Ability to develop a compensation and benefits strategy that is aligned with the critical priorities of the business
    • Highly articulate with outstanding written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills and strong executive presence
    • Results driven professional with demonstrated track record of developing and executing strategies and displays a sense of urgency
