    Principal duties/Roles and responsibilities:
    The selected candidate will have the opportunity to work directly with critical payment offices, varied lines of business, as well as key cross-functional partners within National IT, and our local San Francisco Reserve Bank. To be successful in this role, you have excellent oral and written communication skills with experience managing complex projects to completion. In addition, you will work collaboratively across multiple products to develop and foster relationships with key partners, executive leadership, respond to evolving needs, and communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.

    • Leads daily program execution, including scope, time, and delivery criteria across multiple projects, simultaneously
    • Champion defined project and program management processes and best practices in the program including budget, expenditures, track key milestones and adjusts resources as appropriate, early detection of risks and appropriate risk response strategy, guides issues to closure and escalates obstacles
    • Develops, manages, and evolves KPI, operational metrics, and program reporting to ensure value is delivered
    • Drives effectiveness and accountability across teams and manages a diverse team across the country
    • Works directly with representatives of all organizational areas leading teams by assigning work to team members, advising team and sponsors of any status or implementation issues and recommends solutions as necessary
    • Comfortable communicating to various levels of stakeholders (from technical leads to senior executives).
    • Responsible for processes, tools and platforms, strategic cross-functional communication, client engagement and critical stakeholder management for the portfolio, and, directs the creation and maintenance of required program documentation and artifacts
    • Translate strategy into operational reality; drive to develop, manage, and evolve collaborative and innovative work partnerships to realize the team vision
    • Leads regular interactions with executive sponsors to inform, alert, negotiate and maintain a continuous working relationship and shared vision for the program outcome
    • Establishes and ensures appropriate program governance functions in accordance with enterprise policies and practices, on behalf of the executive team
    • Ensures cross-functional dependencies are identified to establish priorities
    • Identifies key opportunities for business process improvement, as well as development of technical or process enhancements to increase operational efficiencies, or reduce costs across the FRS.

    Required Skills/Must Have::
    • 10+ years of experience in IT and business/industry and 5 or more years of diverse roles with increasing leadership responsibilities across major products, projects, and programs
    • Bachelor’s degree in the Liberal Arts, Marketing, Business, Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field or equivalent work experience
    • Proven team development and strong leadership skills across matrixed and diverse organizations, experience managing products/services as well as complex projects to completion
    • Strong analytical, collaboration, leadership, critical thinking, multitasking, and time management skills
    • Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills including demonstrated ability to communicate complex issues succinctly; create and conduct effective presentations; experience building strong client relationships while exercising influence and negotiating skills to achieve desired results.
    • Must have a proven track record working with cross-functional teams and experience as an expert influencer who drives business value across and end-to-end
    • Proven product management skillsets and experience, ability to gain consensus, influencing skills to achieve decisions and escalate in a timely and clear fashion
    • Excels in uncertainty and drives clarity and vision in rapidly evolving and changing landscapes
    • Leverages empathy and relationship skills to foster strong customer and product team connections to enable the delivery of value from multiple product teams
    • Ability to coordinate and work with diverse groups of subject matter experts
    • Ability to work effectively independently or in a team environment
    • Ability to influence successfully in a highly matrixed or virtual organization
    • Works on multiple highly complex technology solutions or manages product portfolio that require in-depth knowledge across multiple businesses or system-wide
    • Understanding of product operations, SLAs, and security controls required to run a program
    • Some travel may be required Preferred Skills
    • Project and/or Portfolio Management certification
    • Familiarity with product management practices
    • Working familiarity with: o application integration services like: Enterprise Service Bus, Messaging, File Transfer, APIs, Service Gateways/Registries
    • Experience with Agile/Lean practices
