Overview:
Immediate need for a Big Data/Back-End Developer. The position is on a long term contract basis with hourly compensation depending on experience. The successful candidate must have strong knowledge of Core Java, SQL and AWS. Experience with Apache Oozie is also mandatory.

Qualifications:
6-8+ years of solid Java development experience with emphasis on server side
Experience and knowledge of Apache Oozie
Highly competent in Spark/Scala
Must exhibit advanced knowledge and extensive development experience in Java/JDBC and strong knowledge of data modeling and process design
High proficiency in SQL
Self-evident adaptability, tolerance for stress and ability to work to tight deadlines and under minimal supervision
Demonstrated ownership of tasks and problems, and to follow through to satisfactory completion
Proven ability to proactively identify, analyze, recommend and/or implement solutions for problems and quality assurance issues
Must exhibit a willingness to learn constantly, in both the technical and the business realm.
Typically requires a bachelor’s and/or master’s degree (desired)
