Compensation $16.00 - $18.00 an hour
Position Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized HR Assistant to support our Human Resources team. The ideal candidate will assist with onboarding, employee training, personnel records, and compliance documentation while providing excellent administrative support throughout the employee lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with recruiting, interviewing, and onboarding new employees.
Coordinate and facilitate new hire orientation and training programs.
Train associates on company policies, procedures, and workplace expectations.
Maintain accurate employee records and ensure HR documentation is complete and up to date.
Monitor and support compliance with federal, state, and company employment regulations.
Prepare, organize, and audit HR files to ensure document compliance.
Track required certifications, training completions, and policy acknowledgments.
Respond to employee questions regarding HR policies and procedures.
Perform other administrative duties as assigned.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
1–3 years of HR or administrative experience preferred.
Experience training associates or coordinating employee onboarding.
Knowledge of employment laws, HR practices, and document compliance requirements.
Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and HRIS systems.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally.
Other Requirements
Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds occasionally.
Must be able to sit for extended periods while working at a computer.
Must be able to stand and walk frequently throughout the workday.
Must be able to bend, stoop, kneel, and reach to retrieve files and office supplies.
Must have the manual dexterity to operate standard office equipment, including computers, printers, copiers, and telephones.
