    Job Summary

    We are seeking a motivated and outgoing Human Resources Assistant to join our team. This position will be part-time for the first 60 days, after which it will transition to full-time. In this role, you will be able to provide support to our HR Director, making sure they have all the necessary information and resources to perform at their best. The ideal candidate is highly organized with excellent written and verbal communication skills and a friendly demeanor.

    Responsibilities

    Acts as a liaison between employees and management by answering questions, providing information, and assisting in the resolution of work-related concerns.

    Supports the administration of compensation and benefits programs to ensure compliance with company policies and legal regulations.

    Assists with enforcing organizational policies, including those related to equal employment opportunity and workplace conduct.

    Supports staffing activities by coordinating interviews, assisting with onboarding, and maintaining candidate communication.

    Helps administer performance management systems, benefits enrollment, and employee wellness or safety initiatives.

    Stays informed on relevant employment laws and regulations to help maintain compliance.

    Communicates with employees and managers to provide assistance and direct them to appropriate HR resources.

    Responds to employee and management inquiries or concerns, escalating as necessary to the HR Director.

    Participates in meetings or discussions to help identify appropriate solutions to personnel-related issues.

    Assists in tracking and monitoring HR-related budgets and expenditures.

    Maintains accurate and confidential employee records, including new hires, transfers, evaluations, and attendance.

    Upholds strict confidentiality in handling sensitive employee and company information.

    Performs additional administrative and HR-related duties as assigned by the HR Director or Executive Team.

    Qualifications

    High school diploma/GED required, Associate’s degree or administrative training is preferred

    Fluent in Spanish or Portuguese (preferred)

    2+ years of previous experience as an Administrative Assistant or in a similar position

    Excellent computer skills and knowledge of 5+ Microsoft Office programs (Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint)

    Must have a driver’s license

    Familiarity with standard office equipment such as printers and fax machines

    Highly organized with excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize projects

    Must be able to be in the office
