  • Responsibilities

    Job Description

    This position will be responsible for providing overall HR support and ensuring superior customer service to all internal team members and other stakeholders of the organization. All activities will support the organization’s mission, culture and strategic plan objectives.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

    • Create and maintain a positive work environment in alignment with organization’s core values.
    • Support performance management activities to include performance evaluations, training & development activities, coaching and corrective action processes.
    • Maintain daily internal and external communication and reporting requirements.
    • Use HR software for candidate tracking, time & attendance, benefits enrollment, and employee self-service support.
    • Process and verify employee time cards, attendance records, payroll deductions, and related documentation.
    • Monitor attendance, update related reports, and escalate concerns to HR leadership as needed.
    • Communicate and explain HR policies, procedures, laws, benefits, and employment information to employees and applicants.
    • Maintain accurate personnel files and documentation, including staffing changes, recruitment records, training, grievances, evaluations, classifications, and leave-of-absence records.
    • Assist with the administration of benefits programs, including health benefits, FMLA and other leaves, and Workers’ Compensation claims (documentation, follow-up, and ensure timely coordination of benefits).
    • Support recruitment activities by posting job openings, conduct background screening and employment verification, coordinating applicant communication, and assisting applicants with position details and benefit information.
    • Administer full-cycle on-boarding by preparing new-hire paperwork, coordinating orientation, and ensuring compliance with organizational requirements.
    • Help plan and coordinate employee events, celebrations, and recognition programs.
    • Support general office operations, including supply ordering, vendor communication, inventory tracking, and basic finance tasks such as invoice handling, expense tracking, and document organization.
    • Prepare reports, spreadsheets, and administrative documents.
    • Conduct data analysis as needed, may include financial and non-financial data.
    • Maintain a welcoming and professional demeanor while assisting employees and visitors.
    • Work effectively with stakeholders from diverse populations, while displaying sensitivity, understanding and acceptance of others.

    OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Prepare badges, program employees ID numbers and fingerprints into time clock system
    • Assists and trains employees on time & attendance and benefits software
    • Procure name plates, name tags and business cards, office supplies and all FBEM apparel
    • Provide front desk coverage as needed
    • Other duties as assigned
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    EDUCATION

    • AA/AS degree or equivalent in Business Administration/Management/Human Resources/Liberal Arts or additional training preferred
    • HR certification given high consideration; not required

    EXPERIENCE

    • Balancing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
    • Successfully communicating with internal and external stakeholders
    • Proficiency in utilizing ATS and/or HRIS system.
    • Demonstrated Human Resource experience highly preferred

    Additional Information

    WORKING CONDITIONS

    Work is primarily performed in a typical office setting, with periodic exposure to warehouse environments and outdoor conditions while traveling between buildings.
