Position Summary:
The Human Resources Coordinator will serve as support and backup to the Human Resources Manager, and for other clerical functions, at the Urania, LA location. The successful candidate is a self-starter, who can handle the challenges of a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment. This individual will be expected to prioritize their workload and complete multiple requests accurately and on time
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the hourly & temporary weekly payroll process (130+ employees).
- Maintaining the Company's timekeeping system and processes.
- Create and maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, files and documentation.
- Manage the on-boarding process for all ‘hourly' new hire employees.
- Assist with administering employee benefits programs
- Assisting as needed with daily, weekly interaction with employees for various needs
- Processing employee changes, updates and requests as needed.
- Assist HR Manager with reporting, payroll functions and other personnel issues as needed
- Perform clerical tasks that support all required functions in the office
- Document and update departmental procedures and processes

- Ability to work under pressure to meet strict deadlines
- Bachelor's degree in human resources (or Business Administration), or Certified HR Professional credentials, are required.
- Degreed or HR certified candidates are required to have 3 or more years of prior related Human Resource experience
- Candidates who do not have a degree or certification may be considered only if they have 5 or more years of prior related Human Resource experience
- Working knowledge, or understanding of basic labor law, highly beneficial
