    The Chicago Marriott Schaumburg is seeking a Human Resources Coordinator. This is an excellent opportunity for someone eager to grow their career in both human resources and hospitality. The HR Coordinator supports hotel operations by managing recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, and administrative HR tasks to promote a positive workplace culture. Responsibilities include payroll assistance, benefits administration, maintaining HR records in HRIS systems, ensuring compliance with labor laws, and serving as a primary point of contact for employees. Responsibilities: • Recruitment & Staffing: Managing full-cycle recruiting, including job postings, screening, interviewing, and facilitating new hire orientation. • Onboarding & Records: Processing new hire paperwork, maintaining employee files, and updating HRIS databases. • Employee Relations & Engagement: Supporting staff inquiries, organizing recognition events, and promoting a positive, inclusive culture. • Benefits & Payroll Support: Assisting with payroll processing, benefits enrollment, and leaves of absence (LOA). • Compliance & Admin: Ensuring adherence to labor laws, health/safety regulations, and hotel policies. • Communication: Handling employee requests professionally and communicating company updates. Qualifications: • Experience: Previous HR or hospitality experience, typically 1–3 years, is preferred. • Skills: Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. • Technology: Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel) and Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS). • Attributes: Confidentiality, professionalism, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Compensation: $22 - $23 hourly
