    Human Resources Coordinator

    Position Summary

    Existing position

    The HR Coordinator supports the employee lifecycle after hire and serves as a key resource to employees and leadership. This role focuses on employee relations support, new hire orientation, benefits administration, compliance coordination, HR systems, and employee engagement initiatives. The HR Coordinator works closely with the HR Director to ensure HR processes are consistent, compliant, and supportive of a positive workplace culture.

    Responsibilities

    Employee Relations & Performance Management Support

    • Serve as an HR point of contact for employee questions and policy clarification.
    • Support managers with performance coaching, documentation, and corrective action processes as directed by HR leadership.
    • Assist with employee concerns and help facilitate communication between employees, managers, and HR leadership.
    • Promote employee engagement and a positive workplace culture.

    New Hire Orientation

    • Conduct new hire orientation sessions covering company culture, values, policies, and expectations.
    • Review employee handbook, code of conduct, workplace standards, and compliance-related policies.
    • Introduce benefits overview, leave policies, and key HR contacts.
    • Serve as an HR contact for new hires following orientation.
    • Partner with the HR Liaison to ensure a smooth transition from onboarding to ongoing HR support.
    • Maintain and manage the orientation schedule and ensure required orientation components are delivered.

    Recruiting Support (Limited Scope)

    • Partner with the Recruiter to support hiring needs as required.
    • Assist with interview coordination, scheduling, and candidate communications.
    • Participate in interviews and provide feedback to hiring managers and the Recruiter when appropriate.
    • Provide recruiting coverage during peak hiring periods or recruiter absence.

    Benefits Administration

    • Act as a key HR contact for benefits questions and ongoing administration.
    • Support open enrollment and special enrollment/life events.
    • Coordinate with brokers, vendors, and third-party administrators as needed.

    HR Compliance & Documentation

    • Support compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and internal policies.
    • Maintain accurate, confidential employee files and HR documentation.
    • Support audits, reporting requirements, and policy enforcement.

    HR Reporting

    • Generate HR reports and track trends related to workforce metrics, turnover, and employee data.

    Employee Engagement & Culture (Including Events)

    • Support employee engagement initiatives that promote a positive workplace culture.
    • Assist with planning and coordinating company events, celebrations, and employee recognition activities (e.g., orientations, milestones, holidays, team events).
    • Partner with leadership and internal stakeholders on event logistics, communications, and timelines.
    • Manage event-related vendors, supplies, and schedules within approved budgets.
    • Gather feedback to continuously improve employee engagement activities.

    Manager & Leadership Support

    • Partner with managers to provide guidance on policy application and HR processes.
    • Support workforce planning, retention initiatives, and employee engagement efforts.
    • Assist with policy development and HR process improvements.
