    About the Role

    Join WilmerHale's Human Resources team as an HR Coordinator and play a key role in delivering an exceptional employee experience throughout the entire employee lifecycle. This highly visible position offers the opportunity to partner with colleagues across the firm, contribute to HR initiatives, and support a collaborative, high-performing workplace culture.

    What You Will Be Doing

    • In this role, you will serve as a trusted resource for employees and managers, helping to coordinate onboarding, recruiting, internship programs, leave administration, recognition initiatives, wellness programs, and HR operations. You will help create engaging experiences for new hires and interns, support talent acquisition efforts, maintain employee records and compliance processes, and contribute to performance management and compensation activities.
    • Facilitate and lead all aspects of New Hire Orientation, including content, speakers, schedules, new hire and benefits paperwork and materials. Works with other HR coordinator to ensure program consistency across all U.S. offices. Serves as the main point of contact for the online onboarding application for new hires.
    • Assists recruiting team with reference checks, background checks, conference room coordination and job postings.
    • Maintains high quality internship programs by screening potential candidates, extending employment offers, educating students about WilmerHale, coordinating monthly events, staying in close contact with academic advisors and ensuring that students have a meaningful experience from beginning to end.
    • Assists with firm-wide recognition programs by monitoring, tracking, reviewing, and generating staff awards.
    • Assists with various performance management and compensation activities, including but not limited to, reviewing draft evaluations, market pricing of positions and memo creation and review.
    • Responsible for all data entry; personal data changes, job changes, leave information, etc.
    • Maintains expertise in HR records compliance; specifically record retention and destruction. Maintains all personnel and recruiting files to ensure complete accuracy and confidentiality at all times.

    • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in data and record management.

    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS/database systems.

    • Collaborative team player with a proactive, solution-oriented approach and strong interpersonal skills.

    • Remains open to technological change as generative AI becomes more integrated into the firm’s practice, actively develop comfort with new tools, and adapt how work is performed to support efficiency and innovation.

    Required Experience

    • 2+ years in human resources

    Education:

    • Bachelor’s degree required
