AUTOKINITON - Human Resource Generalist
RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Support the Company’s mission, vision, values, and goals in the performance of daily activities.
· Maintain positive associate relations through effective communication and prompt attention to associate concerns.
· Provide key input into the development of departmental strategic goals, along with identifying key measures to support the departmental goals.
· Provides guidance and counsel to supervisors on a variety of issues, including associate development, associate relations, conflict resolution, interpersonal communications, effective group interaction, team building, etc.
· Maintain applicant files and records as required by federal and state law.
· Assist with developing an annual training assessment and assist in developing tools to address associate development effectively.
· Provide support to salaried associates on company policies and procedures.
· Maintain applicant files and records as required by federal and state law.
· Assist in the orientation program for all new hires.
· Develop and maintain job descriptions for all salaried positions.
· Maintain training records for all associates.
· Administer the company benefit plans by servicing the company daily.
· Functions as the company contact for the 401K plan for salaried associates
· Maintain all active and terminated salary files in compliance with federal and state employment laws.
· Coordinate all performance reviews within 90 days.
· Assist with associate relations “fun activities” (e.g., Picnic, Christmas Party) and community service activities (ex. Blood Drive, United Way, etc.).
· Assist with the management and tracking of workers' compensation, primary contact with the carrier, and with the clinic for work-related injuries.
· Tracks and reports department metrics on a monthly/annual basis.
· Assists in the design and implementation of improved processes, structures, and approaches.
· Maintain a positive working relationship with all levels of the organization.
· Maintain high standards of housekeeping throughout the work area.
· Adherence to all company policies and procedures
REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
· Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business, or equivalent experience.
· Three (3) years of experience in Human Resources preferred.
· In-depth knowledge in several HR processes and practices (labor relations, organizational development, leadership development, compensation, benefits, etc.)
· Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
· Strong problem resolution skills, along with customer service and team orientation skills.
· Proven leadership ability and excellent interpersonal skills.
· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suites.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS, WORK ENVIRONMENT, AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS
This is an on-site role that will require daily plant support. Duties include but are not limited to: stand, walk, twist, bend, lift, see, talk and hear. Ability to travel. Occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, vibration and hazardous materials.
