Position Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented, proactive, and people-focused HR Generalist to join our school community. This role is ideal for an HR professional who enjoys a dynamic, collaborative environment and wants to make an impact by supporting the daily people operations of our school.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage full-cycle recruitment activities, including posting jobs, screening candidates, scheduling interviews, and following up with applicants.
Draft and issue employment offers and contracts in collaboration with school leadership.
Support onboarding and offboarding processes to ensure a smooth employee experience.
Maintain HR records and ensure compliance with employment policies and regulations.
Assist with payroll processing and benefits enrollment/administration.
Collaborate with external vendors (e.g., benefits brokers, payroll providers) to resolve employee issues.
Keep job postings current and organized across all job boards and school communication channels.
Provide general HR support to staff and leadership as needed.
Qualifications:
3+ years of experience in human resources, school operations, or a similar role preferred.
Familiarity with California employment laws, charter school environments, or education settings is a plus.
Strong communication and organizational skills.
Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and professionalism.
Proficiency with Google Workspace and common HR/payroll platforms is a plus.
